Fall Equinox, A New Moon in Libra and Mercury Retrograde
Sep 20, 2022
Harvest season is upon us. Today is the autumnal equinox, a day of balance and harmony. A sacred day
equally filled with light and dark. The word equinox itself comes from the Latin roots for equal (aequus)
and night (nox).
It is a moment of stillness.
A time to reflect.
Soon our days will become shorter and our nights longer. Looked at one way, the earth appears to be
descending into darkness.
But if you shift your perspective, you can see that the dark and the cold are also blessings. When the air
is fresh and crisp, it is time to gather in the bounty of the harvest. It is time to pick the newly ripened
plants that have been growing throughout the spring and summer.
It is time to enjoy the fruits of our labors.
What seeds have you sewn this year? What rewards can you now reap?
